Zanjan Revolution Square (Pahlavi Square)

Zanjan Revolution Square was included in the list of national monuments
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Zanjan said: With the approval of the Registration Council of the Cultural Heritage Organization of the country, the Revolution Square of Zanjan, belonging to the first Pahlavi period, was included in the list of national monuments.

El Ingleba Square is one of the first squares of Zanjan city, which was built during the development of the city during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi. With the construction of this building during the first Pahlavi period, an important change in the city of Zanjan took place.
In this period, with the construction of the main streets of the city, Zanjan has somewhat changed from a traditional city with narrow and irregular roads and a relatively regular network of public roads has replaced it. East to West, which today are known as Saadi Street and Imam Street, connected different parts of the city.

Imam and Saadi streets of the city were divided into four sections and they reached each other in the center of the city. From the beginning, the intersection of the two streets became a square and the body around it was formed in the first Pahlavi period.
Regarding the changes of the building during the years after its construction, he said: In the period before and after the revolution, this square kept its traditional appearance and no serious damage was done to it.
Regarding the naming of the Revolution Square, he said: Before the Islamic Revolution, the name of the square was Pahlavi Square, and after the Islamic Revolution, it was changed to the Revolution Square, however, many people in Zanjan still call the Revolution Square, Four Roads.
