He started studying mathematics at Amirkabir Zanjan High School, which was one of the very good high schools of that time, and it was there that he was ready to make Iranians proud. Because his intellectual genius and the perfection of politeness and respect that he showed towards the people around him made everyone wait for his honors one after another.

The effects of his genius were quite evident during high school, his academic rivals, who were mostly hard-working students (so that all but one of them went to university in the first entrance exam), did not see the ability to show off in front of him. His readiness In the math classroom, his intelligence, genius and interest in that field made him the first person in the history of Iran to win a world scientific medal. He won the world silver in that discipline.

 In the same year, after the approval of the plan to exempt those admitted to science Olympiads from the national entrance exam, they studied electronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Sharif University of Technology. Like other students, he studied in a dormitory with at least six people without the smallest special facilities.
He participated in mathematics classes several times and with the genius that he showed, the professors suggested him to continue his studies in mathematics. Although he listened to them because of the respect he had for them and He participated until the end of the semester but did not take the exam and said: I am an electrical student and I am interested in it.

In four and a half years, he managed to finish his bachelor's degree with an excellent grade point average of 19.05. During his studies as an elite and young student, Zanjani started his activities in the music group of Sharif University and his progress in the field of music and the art of playing the piano It was so amazing as if they had learned this from childhood.

Engineer Ghazanfarian was recognized as the best student of Sharif University of Technology, and this time, without an entrance exam, based on the law that made it possible for the best undergraduate student to continue his studies in the master's course without an entrance exam, he studied in the master's course in electronics. And within three semesters, he managed to complete this course with a grade point average of 19.20, which is the highest grade point average of the master's course within three semesters in Sharif University of Technology.

While after making Dr. Ghazanfarian proud in Australia, there were many requests from him to continue his studies in foreign countries, scholarships and even asylum in different countries, but he rejected all of them and studied until his master's degree in Iran. they did; But after completing his master's course, his enthusiasm and desire to study more and higher science and the advice of his mentors; It made Professor Amir Alam Ghazanfarian go to America and the world's top technical university, Sanford, to continue his graduate studies.

Regarding his trip to America, he said: I feel that I can gain more knowledge there, and that is why I am going to America. In Stanford, he started studying another major in electronics and was able to receive his doctorate in the same field.
 Professor Ghazanfarian in America also became the pride of all Iranians who are studying in foreign universities. He won the third place in Stanford University's doctoral entrance exam, so that he is once again a source of pride for Iranians. Dr. Amir Alam Ghazanfarian studied in America for four years and three months, and his master's average: 4.2 out of 4.0 GPA (four and two tenths out of four)! which shows the genius, activity and perseverance of this educated and wise Iranian and Zanjani scientist.

In explaining his father's GPA, professor Hassan Ghazanfarian says: Amir was always active in the classroom and in all academic courses. These grades are the same grades that his professors promised to add to the exam grades, and those grades were added to Amir's 20s and his GPA was higher than the allowed limit.
He also obtained a GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 in his doctoral degree to make his resume more colorful.

The title of his doctoral project was: computer processing of microchip films in dimensions of one millionth of a meter.

Amir A'lam Ghazanfarian was not only a scholar and researcher, but he was considered a human being in every sense; In his short life of 28 years, he always stepped in the path of science and education, ethics and behavior, and made everyone who knows him to have special respect for him.
In 1998, at the same time as they completed their doctoral thesis, they managed to publish their seven scientific articles in journals and present them in scientific conferences. But unfortunately, at the height of scientific prosperity of Professor Amir Alam Ghazanfarian, the symptoms of lymph cancer appeared in him.

A short but fruitful life
The genius son of Zanjan not only had a stunning skill in solving scientific problems and overcoming them, which made everyone admire him, but he was very knowledgeable in confronting and fighting disease and trying to overcome it, so that throughout the period The treatment was firm and hopeful, but in the end, like all God's creations, he surrendered to God's order, as if his fate was that his body would not endure cancer for more than nine months, and his name is the title of a scientist who won the first scientific medal of the Olympiad. He brought a student And as a person of atmospheric science who has been proud throughout his life, he will shine like a bright and never-ending star in the history of Iran and Zanjan. It separated from their physical body and flew to eternity.
 Some time before his death, the symptoms of cancer had completely disappeared and after a while he started to work again and this time with strength. write on his tombstone that the content of which is:

Professor Ghazanfarian's knowledge, genius, and personality in general were at a level that the supervisor of his doctoral course commented on his scientific abilities as follows:
I have never had a student like him in all my university teaching and scientific research, and maybe I won't have another student like him for the rest of my life.
